"Mantua, Cuba" is one of the projects featured in the exhibition "Ay! Mi Cuba", part of the Colorno Photo Life photography festival programme.

"Ay! Mi Cuba", curated by Laura Manione, documents the Caribbean island through the eyes of six photographers and can be visited from 26 September to 2 November at the Aranciaia in Colorno (Viale San Rocco 1).

"Mantua Cuba", writes Laura Maione, "takes us to a place on the edge of the island, perhaps founded by Italians who survived a shipwreck. The walls and interiors are imbued with a sense of nostalgia, a thin veil of dust and decay that, rather than debasing the spaces, ennobles them, placing them in a human story that deserves to be retraced through the traces it has left behind."

The exhibition can be visited on Saturdays and public holidays from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 15:00 to 18:30.
